Happy Travels in the Hunter Valley

Newcastle just keeps getting better. There's so much amazing food to discover from passionate local growers and makers. Here's just a little list of some of our favourite things to do in Newcastle and the surrounding Hunter:

Newcastle City Farmers Market

You'll find this bustling farmers market bursting with amazing produce most Sundays throughout the year. There's so much to pick up there, especially Tar10 sauces and preserves and Serious Delieria cold brew coffee.

Blue Door Cafe

We loved their green breakfast bowl, and there's so much more on their brekkie menu. Friendly service and right in the middle of town in Newcastle.

Handmade in the Hunter

This lovely makers market is held regularly in the lovely grounds of Kevin Scobel's Wines. So you can indulge in some wine tasting too. Fabulous produce you will find there includes The Hot Chilli Woman's fiery hot sauce made from her own home-grown chillies

River Flats Estate Country Store

Just up the road from Kevin Scobel's Wines in Broke, pop in to the River Flats Estate's store. As well as their tasty olive oil, olives, sauces and jams you'll find amazing handmade soaps and bath salts.
